ProBono.Org Durban commemorated the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children from 25 November to 10 December 2024, with several impactful activities aimed at raising awareness and providing support.

On 27 November the Durban office hosted a special help desk at the Point Magistrates’ Court, focusing on assisting clients in the domestic violence section with legal support. Additionally, the team conducted radio interviews to discuss the socio-economic impact of gender-based violence and the legal avenues available for survivors.

Further community engagement took place on 5 and 6 December. ProBono.Org Durban hosted seminars at a women’s shelter and in the semi-rural area of KwaNdengezi to educate and empower local communities, raising awareness about the importance of combating gender-based violence and the resources available for those affected.
