On 23 April 2026, ProBono.Org Durban hosted a combined Freedom Day and Attorney Appreciation Day in partnership with Deneys. The event celebrated Freedom Day in South Africa’s constitutional democracy, marked 20 years of ProBono.Org’s community service, and honoured the legal practitioners who support its work. The event was opened by Mr Sandile Khoza, Head of the Deneys Durban Office, who welcomed attendees and encouraged legal practitioners to adapt to the evolving legal landscape while ensuring the inclusion of the poor and vulnerable.
