Lisa Vetton spoke about about Rape Trials. She gave:
1. An assessment of whether, and when the disclosure of information – particularly the identity of the rape accused or rape complainant – is appropriate, particularly in the social media.
2. An assessment of our adversarial criminal justice system and its implications in rape trials. The manner in which the rape complainant is cross examined by the accused in an adversarial system. (the Pistorius trial example of how cross examination is used by defence lawyers!)
