The deputy minister of justice and constitutional development, Andries Nel, has confirmed that the Legal Practice Bill will be tabled in Parliament within the next few days.

Speaking during the department’s budget vote speech in the national council of provinces (NCOP), the deputy minister also reminded members of the recent tabling of the Constitution Seventeenth Amendment Bill and the Superior Courts Bill in Parliament.

According to the deputy minister, the bills had been in the “melting pot” for 12 years.
